In order to run our camps and events smoothly, all bookings onto camps or events are bound by the following terms. By booking your child onto a camp or event, you, as parent/guardian are confirming your agreement with the following:

  1. You give permission for your child to attend the event between the times stated
  2. You will let your child's section leader or the event organiser know if your child comes into contact with any infectious disease/illness within the three weeks leading up to the event.
  3. You understand that after the payment deadline your payment will become non-refundable unless we (the Scout Group) cancel the event.
  4. You understand that the event leader reserves the right to send any child home during the event and that at least one of the contacts noted on OSM for your child must be available and able to get to the site during the event, or to make provisions for someone else to do so on their behalf.
  5. If it becomes necessary for your child to receive medical treatment during the event and you cannot be contacted to authorise this, you give your general consent to any medical treatment and authorise an Appointed Leader to sign any document required by the hospital authorities.
  6. You understand that photos and videos depicting Scouting activities may be taken during the event in which your child will appear, and you give your permission for these photographs/videos being used in print or electronic media to publicise Scouting.

NB: If you are not able to consent to point 5 above you must let your child's section leader or the event organiser know in writing before the start of the event otherwise your consent will be assumed. Point 5 has no legal status and any medical professional insisting on the consent of a parent/guardian to any particular treatment has the right to do so. However, it can be a comfort to medical staff to have a general consent from parents and to have a Leader able to sign any paperwork should it be required.
