Thorner Village Fun Day and Sports Day

Saturday 22nd June 2019

Millennium Green, Thorner

We can't wait for you to join us for a fantastic community event for all to enjoy. Think community stalls, barbecue, bar, entertainment, races, activities for all the family and much more!

Are you a Thorner community group or organisation?

We'd love to have you as part of our event. We are inviting community groups to provide stalls including displays or activities, which can act as a great fundraising opportunity for your group!

Spaces for stalls are available on a first-com-first-served basis. Some frequently asked questions about stall booking are shown below.

Does it cost anything to book a stall for a local community group?
Not at all! We are keen for this to be a community-wide event as well as an opportunity for groups to do their own fundraising. There is no cost to book and use a stall slot.

Are there any limitations on what I can provide?
We kindly ask organisations not to provide food and beverages as we will have a central food, soft drink and bar provision.

How much space is available for my stall?
Standard slots are just over 3m x 3m (to accommodate a standard sized square gazebo). However, if you think you would like more space than this for your stall or activity let us know when you complete the booking form. We can't guarantee to be able to provide additional space as we want as many community organisations to be involved as possible, but we will do our best!

I need power or water for my stall. Is this available?
Power can be supplied to stalls if required - simply indicate what you need to power on the booking form. Unfortunately we cannot provide a water source to stalls. If you require water for your activity please bring it with you.

What about insurance?
Thorner and Scarcroft Scout Group does not accept liability for any circumstances arising from provision supplied or operated by other organisations. Whilst we don't insist that organisations taking part have their own Public Liability insurance, we strongly recommend that your organisation is covered by a Public Liability insurance policy It is up to individual organisations to determine whether this is necessary for what you are providing and to put your own insurance arrangements in place if required.

What other information do you need from us to book a space?
Aside from information on what you intend to provide, we kindly ask all organisations to provide us with a copy of the Risk Assessment covering your provision for the event, so that we can maintain and promote a safe environment for everybody. You can either upload this when you complete the booking form, or you can return a copy to us by e-mail before the booking deadline, to This email address is being protected from spambots.
